Operation Blankets of Love

As many of you may know from following our story, TARA is more than a rescue and sanctuary. We are also a rescue outreach of sorts. Inspired by all the passionate people out there working day in and day out to save animals, we look for opportunities to support the local rescue community. After our annual fundraiser we provided monetary and supply donations to a great organization, Operation Blankets of Love. OBOL works to provide help to rescues, shelters, sanctuaries, fosters and pets of the homeless community. They rescue the rescues. Our donations went to help feed animals at a wildlife rescue in Simi Valley, the pets of homeless/needy Veterans in the LA area and Meals on Wheels, feeding the pets of shut in and the elderly. Thank you Brad Smulson from operationblanketsoflove.org for sharing the story of how many animals can be reached with every donation you get.

When you attend our annual fundraiser or donate supplies, your donations goes out to help others help others. It’s about many great people coming together to make a difference. We are honored to be a part of the wheel and look forward to many more years of animal rescue. Saving lives, one animal at a time.

Farm Sanctuary

Horses, goats, donkeys, chickens, pigs… just a few of the large farm animals that have come to join us at the farm sanctuary. Many of these animals will live out the remainder of their lives here at our sanctuary. They are seniors or have lifelong medical issues from a previous life of abuse, neglect and overwork. While they are now safe, healthy and free from starvation and abuse, they are in need of friends. They need time with human companions!! Just as our smaller furry friends need human contact and interaction, so too do our equine friends. Please consider joining our team and being a compaion, making regular visits to brush, walk or ride these graceful animals. adoptions@theanimalrescuealliance.org

Photos, bios and ways to volunteer and support our sanctuary animals will soon be added to our ‘currently in progress’ Sanctuary section of the website.
