Clover was approximately 8 weeks old when she was shot with a pellet. Clover along with her momma cat and siblings would frequent a gas station in the city of Winchester where they were fed by a person. Clover was missing for a couple days and when the tiny kitten reemerged it was with her hind legs dragging. Little Clover still purred when called by the person that fed her. Lucky for Clover she was taken in along with her siblings by the kind lady. The lady did not have the financial means to have Clover seen by a vet. Luckily she reached out to rescues to see who would help Clover.
Clover is now receiving Vet care and xrays revealed she has a bb pellet lodged in her spine. There is spinal cord damage but she still has feeling in her hind legs. Clover will need surgery to remove the pellet to prevent further damage to her spine. Despite all the trauma and pain she has endured, Clover is full of love and energy. Clover is an inspiration for all of us because of her unbreakable spirit. She also brings awareness to animal cruelty and the need to advocate for those who can't for themselves.
Please help us give Clover a chance at being able to have some use of her hind legs and prevent further damage to her spine and her hind legs from further atrophying. Clover will be treated at Veterinary Neurology Center by Dr. Stacy Dillard.
